Dual DX-100 Synthesizers played at once using custom sounds and many foot pedals. Example, left board wah-wah clavinet, right board organ. Example 2, left board a powerful bass, right board a tines type piano-with sustain pedal.
Using extreme opposites makes for an extreme dynamics considering both are non-velocity sensitive - which is better if you are listening in a car so you don't have to leap to the volume control. Double-edge situation, better for stable volume, no ppp or fff type dynamics - but you can hear everything all the time clearly! That's the benefit!
It started when I learned Scarlatti was 4 years in Andalucia then Madrid the rest of his life and eventually I learned he sort of invented Flamenco or at least PREDICTED it. I worked on dozens of his scores to really get the feel, fell in love with his sonatas and decided to make a good harpsichord patch. Therefore I had to record a bunch on piano, this is why 6 songs are on my Baroque CD, one is even over 10 minutes long! Then I did a huge amount of patch editing, and often I date a recording so I can tell it's an old imperfect harpsichord or wah-wah clavinet but sometimes the older recordings have life because like I got inspired with Nannerl's pieces and some of them are good recordings, but less-developed patches.
Read the insert! It tells how my first Clavinet was Peter Tork's, and other technical developments like using 2 sustain pedals and 2 modulation pedals and y-jacks here and there and maybe not! The other routing option is both into midi sound units and I have many performances designed that way, playing percussion on both, then traps, then bass and traps at the same time, then bass and keys which allows singing and all my songs… THAT'S ANOTHER STORY!
